2019 Ford Ranger | Farmington Hills, MI

The Popular Pickup Returns to America!

After an eight-year hiatus, the Ford Ranger returns to the United States as a refreshing, mid-sized pickup truck that's available in two cab styles, SuperCab and SuperCrew, and your choice of XL, XLT and Lariat trim levels. You also have the choice of two appearance packages: Sport, which features body-color trim, and Chrome, which adds more than a bit of bling.

The exterior boasts class-exclusive frame-mounted steel bumpers, as well as tow hooks, bed lights, sleek headlights and a trapezoidal grille. A fully-boxed ladder frame with six crossmembers supports the mostly steel body, while the front and rear of the truck feature short overhangs that ensure good angles when approaching and departing. If you plan on taking your new Ford Ranger off-roading, we suggest adding the FX4 Off-Road Package, which includes the Terrain Management System, a steel front skid plate, steel underbody skid plates, off-road shocks and tires and part-time four-wheel drive.

Inside, there's waterproof storage under the second-row of seats, while the instrument cluster is laid out smartly and features a familiar center stack. Available tech features include Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ connectivity, SYNC® 3 infotainment system and the FordPass Connect Wi-Fi with 4G LTE that provides connections for up to 10 devices.

The 2019 Ford Ranger features a standard 2.3-liter turbocharged EcoBoost® four-cylinder engine that teams with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Final performance numbers aren't set yet, since this is the same engine that powers the Mustang, it should offer similar horsepower and torque outputs. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but you can add part-time four-wheel drive as an optional upgrade.

Thanks to a double-wishbone suspension and rear leaf springs, the Ranger offers the kind of on-road manners you typically don't find in a pickup.

Standard safety features on all trim levels include automatic emergency braking, while XLT and Lariat trims includes standard reverse sensors, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist and blind-spot detection with trailer coverage.
